Homework
Homework is an essential part of your child’s success in school. Everyone has heard the saying “practice makes perfect,” and this is true for homework. As young children are learning new content everyday, it is imperative that they review and practice old content so that they do not lose the knowledge. Homework allows for students to reflect on their learning. In addition, homework provides another form of communication between teachers and parents, ensuring that families are actively involved in their students’ learning.
Every Monday you will receive a homework sheet that explaind the homework for the entire week, as well as, outlines the content beging covered in class. Each night you should spend about 15-20 minutes working with your child on their homework and additional time should be spent reading with your child each night. Please do not do it for them, but you may work with them. Send in his/her homework in their homework folder each day.
